Message Threshold
A message threshold is a daily limit that can be set to prevent too many emails from going to one person. Message Thresholds feature needs to be enabled on your account by your Digital Specialist and it
will apply to the whole channel. If it is
turned on, it will display under the Admin tab.
Under ADMIN tab, click on the Message Thresholds. The screen that comes up is where you set the channel threshold. Click SAVE.

Note: If there are email addresses (typically internal) that you do not want affected by the threshold, add the email addresses to the No Threshold tab in the Suppression section.
Then, click on Content/Messages and select Message Types.
Add Message Types and Enable the Threshold for the message types. If a message types has "No" selected under Enable Threshold, any emails that are sent out for this Message Type will not count towards the daily Threshold count. Click SAVE.

Click on Message Type Priority in the toolbar. The Message Types that have "Yes" under Enable Threshold will
show up in a list and the order can be set here with the first priority at the top
of the list. Click SAVE.
If email campaigns are scheduled ahead of time, ECN Email Marketing will look at each campaign and see what message type it is. If the threshold is not enabled, the email will go out no matter what and these do not count against the threshold count. If the threshold is enabled, ECN will check the message types to determine which have the highest priority.
When ECN Email Marketing starts sending out the email campaigns, it will check all of the emails that are scheduled at that time. If an email address is in more than one campaign, it will receive the messages with the highest priority until the threshold is met.
If a message type with a lower priority is sent out prior to a higher priority message type being scheduled, the higher priority message will be suppressed if an email recipient has received the number of emails indicated for the threshold.
