Download/Export Records
Once your queries have been added, you may download or export any of the blue hyperlinked total counts that are listed in the filter list.
Click on the total count you wish to export or download to showcase your options. From here you have three choices to retrieve your audience information: Export to Group, Download, or Save to campaign. You may also type in (run an Nth) the desired total number of records to export, download or save. Utilize the Promocode field (maximum of 10 characters) to label or tag your exported/downloaded records.
On each download screen, the Available Fields to download/export will be listed. You are required to select which export fields you will want to include in the download/export before completing the download/export. To include full demographic descriptions of the fields - choose a field labeled "DEMOGRAPHIC_DESCRIPTION." This will give you the complete descriptions for what the demographic codes mean. For example, Job Title code 607 = Construction Professional.
Or, choose a Download Template from the drop down list, to automatically select specific data fields to include in the download/export. Reorganize the order of the selected data fields by moving the fields up or down the list.

1. Export to Group = export the records to the Email Marketing tool by specifying a promocode, job, and selecting a customer. If used, the Promocode will show up in the Email Marketing tool as a UDF (User Defined Field). Any additional export fields selected, beyond the Standard Profile Fields, will export to the Email Marketing tool as UDFs. Once the export is complete, the screen will show what records were new, changed, duplicated, or skipped within the email group. A skipped email address could be caused by either master suppression or if there is no email address for that record. Include Email = YES (under the contact fields in the Standard Filters) in the filter to eliminate the chance of including blank emails in the download.
BEST PRACTICE: when exporting to another software (ECN, Marketo), it is best to only include the code fields in the export, not the descriptions.

To view the counts prior to the export, select the Export to Group option (top left), then click on the Export Count button (bottom left button). By clicking on the Export Count button, the count totals will appear at the bottom of the download screen. This gives you a snapshot of the totals prior to completing any export.

NOTE: You can only export to customer accounts in the ECN Email Marketing tool that you have permission to access. If you do not see a customer account in the list, contact your Admin to adjust your permissions.
2. Download = download the total records or desired total records to an Excel XLS file. If used, the Promocode field will be downloaded as a new column in the XLS document. Check the "Include Query Details Header" box to include all the query details of the filters chosen in the header of the Excel document; listing the total count, downloaded count, operation (Not In, Union, Intersect), products selected, and all filter criteria.
- NOTE: If you are downloading with the intention of uploading the data to another software, the best practice would be not to include the query details header.
- If you have issues downloading the file as an Excel document, click here and follow the steps.
3. Save to campaign = either save to an existing campaign that has already been created within the UAD, or choose to create a new campaign. Name the filter to describe the criteria used to pull the subscribers and save the campaign within the UAD to be exported to Email Marketing or downloaded later.
